Right To Information

Right to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative taken by Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to provide a– RTI Portal Gateway to the citizens for quick search of information on the details of first Appellate Authorities, PIOs etc. amongst others. Besides access to RTI related information / disclosures published on the web by various Public Authorities under the government of India as well as the State Governments.



Objectives

  • To ensure greater and more effective access to information under the control of public authorities.
  • To promote transparency and accountability in working of public institutions/organizations.


Statutory provisions made for right to information

Public Authority is under the obligation to provide information within 30 days from the date of request in normal cases or within 48 hours if information is a matter of life or liberty of a person.



What does RIGHT TO INFORMATION mean?

The right to Inspection of work, document records Taking notes, extracts, or certified copies of documents or records; Taking certified samples of material.



What does INFORMATION mean?

It means any material in any form including Records (RECORD means: Any document, manuscript and file Any microfilm, microfiche and facsimile copy of a document, any reproduction of image embodied in such microfilm any other material produced by a computer or any other device)

Making Request to PIO/APIO

How to REQUEST?

  1. Any Indian citizen can obtain information about any public authority, including documents and records by applying to the Public Information Officer (PIO) of that Authority through electronic means in English or Hindi or official language

  2. An applicant has to pay an application fee of Rs. 10/- with the application

  3. The information will be made available on payment of cost as follow :
    Description of Information Price/Fees in Rupees
    Fee along with Application Rs. 10 per application
    Where the information is available in the form of priced publication On printed price
    For other than priced publication Rs. 2 per page of A-4 size or smaller and actual cost subject to minimum of Rs. 2/- per page in case of larger size
    Where information is Available in electronic Floppy and CD etc Rupees 50/- per Floppy and Rs. 100/- per CD
    Fee for inspection of record/document Rs. 20 per 30 minutes or fraction thereof

  4. Payment is to be made by Treasury Challan/Bank draft/Indian Postal Order

  5. No fees will be charged from people living below the Poverty Line

The College shall have the jurisdiction over the conduct of the students associated/enrolled with it and to take cognisance of all acts of misconduct including incidents of ragging or otherwise which are taking place in the College campus or in connection with the college related activities and functions.


Every student will have to observe some ethics and follow some rules which are as follows :

  • He/she shall be regular in classes. The name of the student will be struck off from the college rolls, if he/she remains absent without sanctioned leave for continuous 10 days. Readmission is permitted once only within seven days of name struck off and the student must be accompanied by his/her parent or guardian.
  • Students are to deposit their dues on the dates notified otherwise their names will be struck off at the end of the month.
  • Submission of false information of any kind for purpose of admission or scholarship etc. is a serious offence and penal proceedings will be initiated and admission will be cancelled forthwith.
  • The student should bring his/her identity-cum-library card daily. A student without an identity card, duly signed by the Principal, is deemed an outsider and will not be allowed to enter the college premises.
  • Students are advised not to bring outsiders with them in the college premises.
  • All the students are advised to see the college notice board daily.
  • Participating in following activities will invite disciplinary action by the college administration:
    • Organizing meetings, processions and slogan shouting without permission from the Institute.
    • Smoking on the campus.
    • Unauthorized possession or use of harmful chemicals/alcohol and banned drugs
    • Theft or unauthorized access to others resources.
    • Any kind of violence or act of misconduct will not be tolerated.
    • Students are expected not to interact, on behalf of the College, with media representatives or invite media persons on to the campus without the permission of the College authorities.
    • Indulging in any form of Harassment which is defined as a conduct that is severe and objectively, a conduct that is motivated on the basis of a person’s race, colour, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition.
    • Damage to, or destruction of, any property of the Institute, or any property of others on the Institute premises.
    • Use of mobile phones in college campus is not allowed.
  • Students are expected to use the social media carefully and responsibly.
  • Every student will have to procure No dues certificate from library/departments/Fee clerk etc, if he/she wants to leave the college.
  • The library security deposited at the time of first admission will lapse if a student does not apply for refund within one year of leaving the college.
  • An anti-ragging undertaking is to be filled by every student at the time of admission online at the site www.amanmovement.org or www.antiragging.in
  • The college allows educational tours/field trips as mentioned in syllabus but a written consent signed by parent is to be submitted in the office before the student goes for the trip/tour.
  • All the students are expected to be readily available for social service and other college activities.
  • All the students will be the ambassadors of college outside the college too, so they should be courteous to the members of local community too.
